The creation of a new women’s magazine for Geelong was born out of a desire to provide a new forum for women that went beyond celebrity fashion and weight loss tips.

We wanted a magazine that explored the issues that working women talk about, balancing busy working, social and family lives. Above all we wanted to create a magazine that is smart, interesting and fun to read.

So when it came to choosing a name for our new women’s magazines, we thought about all the things that modern women are – strong, passionate, brimming with vitality and quietly ruling the world! And like the most precious of gems, we are all individual and all valuable.

At Ruby magazine, we celebrate real women; women, who live, love and work in and around the Geelong region. You won’t find stick thin cover girls or sanctimonious articles telling you how you should be living your life in Ruby. What you will find are informative, thought-provoking stories, profiles of inspiring women, and a wide range of articles on the many facets of our lives.

But what really sets Ruby apart from the crowd is that this is a magazine produced by women for women. We are mothers, wives, girlfriends and daughters, and we are working women. We are just like you.

There has been an incredible buzz around the Adcell Group office as we have been putting this inaugural edition together and we hope that you, the working women of Geelong, enjoy reading it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.

Ruby magazine will be distributed quarterly with the Geelong Business News and will also be available, free of charge, at various businesses around Geelong.
